Parenthood Team
We support young parents aged between 16 and 25 who have complex needs and are living in Oxford City.
Who we work with
We support pregnant mums, and young parents with children aged up to two years. We can help you if you have complex needs, and your children are in danger of being removed from your care through risk of violence, abuse or neglect. We offer support to mums and dads, together or individually.
How we work
We will help you develop your parenting skills and tackle any areas of your life that you would like to change. As part of your individual support plan, we will help you tackle issues such as poverty, accommodation, benefits, addictions and health.
What we do
- Provide a listening ear, information and advice.
- Support you to access services such as family centres, children's centres, counselling and parenting groups.
- Help you understand child protection procedures and support you through the process, no matter what the outcome.
- Accompany you to case conferences, advocate on your behalf and assist you to keep to your child protection plan.
- Support you to address and change any problematic behaviour.
- Provide opportunities to take part in our Client projects.
- Continue to support you for as long as there is a need.
